Notes on the gravel loop north of the ridge

The loop starts easy, a graded forestry road for the first stretch, then narrows fast once it turns north past the quarry gate. That section washes out every spring and this year is no exception, expect a few short carries rather than a clean ride through.

Water is the main planning constraint, not distance. The only reliable source between the trailhead and the north junction is the spring just before the quarry gate, everything after that is seasonal at best.
